Hi! If you use AI dubbing, you know the problem: the only way to be sure a dub is good is to watch all of it, and that stops working once you have many videos or languages.
DubEval does the first pass for you. Add a video and its dub, from any service or from voice actors. It checks timing, speech, voice and meaning, gives a verdict, and marks every problem on a timeline so you can jump straight to it. Give it up to 8 dubs of one video and it tells you which to deliver and why.
It's free and open source, needs no account, and your videos stay on your computer. The translation check is optional and sends only text.
It's an early beta and it makes mistakes. In my tests it caught all of 112 planted problems but also raised false alarms, and it matched a person's verdict on all of 20 dubs. The installer is Windows only for now and isn't code-signed yet, so you'll see a SmartScreen warning.
Full disclosure: this comes out of my work at ESTsoft, which makes the dubbing service Perso.
I'd love to hear where it gets your dubs wrong.
