I built DrumShell because I wanted to become a better drummer. While there are great tools for isolating tracks and practicing music, I wanted something built specifically for drummers that worked the way I practice: connect my drum module via Bluetooth, hit play, and start playing immediately from my phone. The idea came from a challenge I faced playing drums in church. For Arabic worship songs, you can usually find chord charts and lyrics, but high-quality drumless tracks are almost nonexistent. It felt like many of us had accepted playing these songs at a basic level simply because the resources weren't there. I wasn't okay with that. I wanted a better way to practice the songs that matter to our communities, with tools designed for real practice sessions—offline access, looping, a built-in metronome, and a workflow that respects the limited time drummers have on the kit. So I started building the tool I wished I had. What began as a personal solution became DrumShell: a practice platform designed to help drummers prepare better, practice more efficiently, and continuously improve.

Does the isolation actually separate the live kit well from heavily produced tracks, or is it more hit-or-miss on older recordings with lots of bleed?

How well does the isolation work on songs where the drums are heavily panned or mixed low? Curious if it can pull the kit cleanly from mainstream tracks or if it struggles there.

Pulled out the kit on a tricky Rush track and the isolation was clean enough to actually practice against. Slowing down a busy fill without it sounding like mush was a nice surprise too.
