Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Abdul Khaleque and I built DrinkNotifier: Water Reminder because I kept ending workdays with a headache and a full water bottle on my desk. Every reminder app I tried either nagged me with no easy way to log or felt like a chore to open.
So I made something that lives where I already am all day: the Chrome toolbar.
How it works:
A reminder pops up on your schedule (every 30 min, every hour, or at exact times you pick). Click “Log” right on the notification and you’re done.
The toolbar icon shows your progress in %, and the popup has a little cup character that goes from sad to beaming as it fills up.
Pick the built-in chime, upload your own sound, or go silent, and set the volume.
Not sure what your goal should be? The built-in calculator estimates it from your weight and activity level.
For people who like a bit of motivation, there’s an optional game mode: streaks (with one forgiven rest day a week), levels from Droplet to Ocean, three daily quests, and badges. One rule I cared about: nothing rewards drinking past your goal, and there are no guilt messages when you miss a day.
It’s free, needs no account and all your data stays in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
I’d love your feedback, especially: what time of day do you forget to drink most? I’m thinking about smarter reminder timing next.
