Driftwise builds one continuous jet lag plan across your whole trip: flights plus trains, buses, cars and ferries. It tells you when to seek light, when to avoid it, when to sleep, and when to time melatonin and caffeine, so you arrive already adjusted. A "now and next" timeline shows what to do right now. Everything stays on your phone: no account, no tracking, no analytics. The only network call is an optional flight lookup. First trip is free.

Going to try it on my next trip back. Two things I'm curious about: how many days ahead do you want me starting the shift, and does the plan adjust if a connection gets delayed? Also, genuinely curious how you handle caffeine timing once someone's crossed enough zones that day and night have flipped.
@copaceticd Great questions Dan, these are exactly the ones I care about.
1. You don't set the number of days, the plan works it out from your trip. For a big shift it usually starts nudging you a couple of days before you fly, gently, around an hour a day, so you land already partway adjusted instead of starting from zero. For a small shift it barely touches your pre-trip sleep.
2. Right now the plan is built from your itinerary times. If a connection changes, you update that leg or re-run the flight lookup and the whole plan rebuilds around the new times. What it does not do yet is react to a live delay on its own, that one is on my list. I would rather be honest about that than pretend.
3. Caffeine is timed to your destination morning as you shift, not the calendar. The plan tracks where your body clock actually is in the adaptation, so even once day and night have flipped it knows when your new morning is. It puts caffeine early in that target day and cuts it off well before your target bedtime, so it never eats into the sleep you are building.
What route are you flying next? Happy to walk through what the plan would look like for it.
the light/sleep timing part I'd trust from an app, but melatonin dosing is technically a supplement recommendation, and the right timing (and whether to take it at all) can shift a lot depending on age, meds, or things like pregnancy. does driftwise just give generic timing guidance with a disclaimer, or does it ask anything about the person before suggesting when to take it? asking because that's the one part of the plan that isn't purely informational.
@galdayan Really fair point, and it is one I think about a lot. Two things.
The light and sleep timing is the core of the plan and it stands on its own. Melatonin is presented as optional, low dose, timing-only guidance, not a prescription. You can follow the plan and skip melatonin entirely and it still works.
On the personal side, Driftwise is privacy-first and has no account, so it deliberately does not collect a health profile. That means it does not personalize melatonin for age, medication or pregnancy. Instead it flags melatonin as optional with a disclaimer to check with a professional, especially in those cases, and leaves the choice to you. I would rather be upfront that I am not giving personalized medical advice than pretend an app can.
Love that it stitches together trains and ferries with flights into one plan, not just a single flight. The "now and next" timeline felt like having a small coach in my pocket telling me when to grab coffee.
@sattapanbmta Thank you, that means a lot. "A small coach in your pocket" is honestly the exact feeling I was going for. I wanted something that just tells you what to do right now instead of making you read a chart. The coffee timing is my favorite part too ☕️😅. Where do you usually fly, any brutal long-hauls?
