Spectrum OLED, the world's first crowd-developed glossy OLED gaming monitor. With cutting-edge OLED technology, Spectrum OLED offers an infinite contrast ratio, and unmatched gaming performance. The glossy display offers you vibrant and true-to-life colors.
Hello Product Hunt👋
I’m Chi, one of the makers of Spectrum OLED. As we all waited for OLED technology to come to desktop gaming, today, we’re proud to announce the launch of our crowd-developed glossy OLED gaming monitor.
Meet Spectrum OLED, the 1st 27-inch OLED glossy monitor for competitive gaming.
🙋🏻♀️ Why Spectrum OLED?
Back in May when we attended Display Week, we shared our take on major display trends and polled our community to find out which of the upcoming displays they found most exciting. A 27-inch QHD OLED panel from LG Display raised the most interest and discussion, so based on these survey results, we picked this panel as a starting point for our new project. Due to strict NDAs we’ve had to start development behind the scenes. But now it’s time to unveil our new Spectrum ES07E2D, which builds on the foundations laid by our crowd-developed Spectrum line-up, the glossy coating we launched to great acclaim earlier this year, and the cutting-edge gaming performance of OLED.
🤩 What makes Spectrum OLED special?
*unleashed potential
Other manufacturers lock their OLED panels behind matte polarizers to reduce reflections. But our community of enthusiasts from around the world has spoken: reducing reflections is not worth the drop in black levels, sharp detail, and vibrant colors. That's why we use a unique glossy polarizer, unleashing the full potential of our OLED panel.
*feel the difference
If you’re serious about winning, you’ll take every advantage you can get. With an adaptive refresh rate up to 240Hz, you get smooth animations without distracting tears or stutters. A response time of less than one millisecond keeps all your frames sharp and in focus. And although OLED is already one of the fastest technologies on the market, we focused on reducing display lag as much as possible, so you see the action as it happens, not after the fact. We can’t promise that you’ll win every game, but we can promise you won’t lose because of your monitor.
*premium monitor, premium design
Our community wasn’t happy with the direction of modern gaming monitor designs. Often designed to stand out, they naturally don’t fit into many environments. So, we kept things simple, understated, and elegant. Our design team is excited to reveal the final design soon!
*king of ports
Many of our community members use multiple devices with their monitor, so we made sure to have a wide selection of ports available. HDMI 2.1 ensures that you can use new features such as variable refresh rate on the latest consoles, and our Type-C port will connect your monitor and peripherals to your laptop with a single cable, while charging it at the same time!
🤑 What we offer today?
We’re offering exclusive early bird price for pre-ordering, only for our OLED subscribers. If you’re interested in a glossy OLED gaming monitor, don’t hesitate to visit: https://www.dough.tech/pages/spe...
You can also know more about our product under the view of our supporter here:
Our new monitor will come with three years of limited warranty. We are aware that one of the major concerns of OLED technology has to do with image retention, often called ‘burn-in’. That’s why we also offer coverage in case of burn-in for the first two years!
💜 Let us know what you think!
Spectrum OLED is made from the heart and we couldn’t be more excited for you to check out our work. We would love to hear from you and get your thoughts on how to take our product to the next level. To anyone reading this please research Dough Tech (formally Eve Devices) before you purchase...
I (and hundreds maybe thousands more) have had absolutely horrible experience with this company. I made the mistake of not doing my due diligence and got into a situation with Dough on terms of getting my refund back. Long story short, I placed a pre-order for the original 1440p Spectrum monitor in 2019 (going into 2020). After 2yrs and some change, I asked for a refund for they were "stalling" or kept delaying the 1440p monitor shipping. They have "delayed" the monitor about 3 or 4 times before I asked for the refund on April 8th, 2022. At the time of writing this, I still have yet to receive my refund. At this point, any inquiries referring to my cancelled order are being ignored and even a chargeback has been issued via my card issuer. Dough Tech/Eve Devices continue to advertise their monitors and mostly sending out their 4K monitors to reviewers, tech sites, and social media influencers. Im sure some have received them (with questionable quality in both build and functionality) but the majority are left with money being taken and no product to be delivered. Below I've included as many links as I can relating to Dough Tech/Eve Devices being incompetent in fulfilling orders, issuing refunds, and even flat out ignoring inquiries. One of the links is Dough's own discussion forums which has many users frustrated about this same situation. If you are even more curious, look at the user comments on the posts made by their insta (@dough.technology) and twitter (@DOUGHtechnology). There are many users facing this issue and it should be voiced out despite all of the reviews given by other Tech News sites.

Concerning about 2-year warranty for burn-in, is it enough? My OLED screen has issues after 3 years...

Hey Product Hunt!
I see alot of discussion on here about the company and believe me. I had a few frustrations in the beginning as well. I purchased the original 4K spectrum Monitor and it took a long time to actually get it. But i got it now. It seems like in the past few months the company's service and responses have gone up drastically. I absolutely love my monitor and the company is definitely on the up and up. I am super excited to see more about this OLED monitor.

THIS IS A SCAM. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT EXIST.
Dough is a company that has a reputation of scamming customers. They make up false delivery dates to get sales. They have promised monitors announced in 2020 that are 2+ years late, and customers have received nothing. And Dough refuses to pay back the money they owe to customers that decided to cancel their order after waiting so long. They did manage to release one monitor but there's even a huge backlog of orders for that product and it has many firmware issues, plus warranty support seems practically non-existent.
They changed their name from Eve to try to hide their previous scams. You can see more information here:

Hello Product Hunt 👋
This is Dough's 5th announced monitor however they still have only shipped one of them. All the while they are taking full price for products never delivered. 😲
📅 Here is a breakdown of how long it takes to get a product delivered from Dough!
Dough Spectrum 1440p/144Hz - Started Pre-Orders January 2020, has not shipped to this day (36+ months)
Dough Spectrum 1440p/240Hz - Started Pre-Orders January 2020, has not shipped to this day (36+ months)
Dough Spectrum 4k/144Hz - Started Pre-Orders January 2020, shipped August 2021 (19 months)
Dough Spectrum 1440p/240Hz Glossy - Started Pre-Orders March 2022, has not shipped to this day (9+ months)
Dough Spectrum 4k/144Hz Glossy - Started Pre-Orders March 2022, has not shipped to this day (9+ months)
Once you get tired of waiting, Dough will then not refund you for months or even years. Hundreds of people have been waiting for refunds since 2017 and instead of fulfilling them, Dough just closes their business and opens under a new name. Dough is now the 4th name of this "company" so if you want to know more look up Eve-Tech, Fortress-Tech, and Eve Devices. 🗒️
Here's one of their community posts with over 500 comments of people asking for a refund that was started in May of this year https://dough.community/t/order-... with the original poster still not refunded after 7 months of waiting. 💸
Dough's ultimate marketing strategy is to announce a slick product (see this page), take pre-orders (coming soon!!), and then delay until you forget about it, or it's out of your banks chargeback window to dispute it. Please don't pre-order anything from this company, if you really want to support them, go buy their one in-stock item at the moment the Spectrum 4K/144Hz (US only) and experience Dough for yourself firsthand. 🤑
