We're Andrew and Nicole, a couple from just outside Glasgow, and Dote is the app we built for ourselves.
We kept sending each other date ideas, a cosy wine bar on TikTok, a coastal walk on Instagram, and by Saturday every one of them was lost in a camera roll or a group chat. So we made one place for both of us.
How it works:
🔗 Share it to Dote from TikTok, Instagram or any website. Dote finds the real place and fills in the kind of date, a rough cost and whether it's indoors or out.
🫙 Your Date Jar keeps every idea you've both saved, with the ones you're both keen on at the top.
🗓️ Suggest a time, your partner taps Sounds good, and Coming up shows it with the weekend forecast.
📸 Memories keeps the photos and what you both thought, so you remember the dates you went on, not just the ones you meant to.
It's free on iPhone and Android wherever you are, has no ads, and your location stays on your phone. One optional Premium covers you both.
There's also a Find tab with hand-picked date guides. Those are UK cities for now, since that's where we've been on the dates ourselves, and we'll add more places as we go. Everything else works anywhere. If you'd like guides for your city, tell us where.
