Most Dota drafting apps make you type hero names one by one while the pick timer runs down. Dota Addiction reads the entire draft through your camera in one look: point your phone at the screen and you get ranked counter picks and per-position item builds in seconds. The part I haven't seen elsewhere: link your Dota profile and the app tracks whether our picks actually won you games. Advice that grades itself. No account, no login. Recognition is server-side, so it improves with no update.

I play a lot of Dota, and I kept losing games in the draft (the ten seconds where you pick a hero and quietly hand the enemy team the match). PC players have desktop overlays for this. On a phone, every option I tried made me type in hero names one at a time while the pick timer burned down.
So I built the version I wanted: point your camera at the pick screen, and the app reads the whole draft bar in one look, then ranks counter picks and gives item builds per position.
Getting that to work was most of the project. Photographing a screen with a phone means glare, odd angles and moiré, and 120+ heroes that all have to be told apart. I shipped it running on-device first, then moved recognition to a server -- same accuracy, and the app dropped from 106 MB to ~60 MB.
There is a second half to the app I enjoyed building even more. Link your Dota profile with a Friend ID and every match you play from then on lands in the app: win-rate trend and form on every hero over your last 20 games, 90 days or all time, and then any single match opened up minute by minute -- net worth, last hits, hero damage, support gold, wards and stacks for all ten players, how each lane actually went, and the fights that turned the game. Every other player in the lobby gets a card too, and anyone whose recent wins, average IMP and games on the account all stand out at once gets flagged as a likely smurf or boosted account -- so after the game you can check whether that mid really was a smurf, or whether you just lost the lane. It also tracks whether taking the app's counter picks won you more games than picking your own.
All of that is 100% free and always will be. Every stat, every match, no cap, no upsell -- it is your own data and I am not going to charge you to look at it.
