I'm the solo developer behind Dosly, a medication reminder and health tracking app that started with something deeply personal.
My girlfriend takes essential medication every single day. Missing a dose isn't something she can afford to risk.
I wanted to give her something she could genuinely rely on. I tried existing medication reminder apps, but none offered the combination of simplicity, flexibility, and reliability I was looking for.
So I decided to build my own.
What started as a personal project has grown into Dosly, a complete medication management experience designed to help individuals and families take care of their health with less stress and more confidence.

Most medication apps can send a notification. But what happens when you don't open the app for weeks? When you're offline? When you switch devices? Or when someone you love needs help remembering their medication?

Dosly combines two notification systems:
Local notifications keep scheduled reminders working even without an internet connection.
Server-side push notifications provide an additional layer of continuity when the device's local scheduling window expires, even if the app hasn't been opened for a long time.
No notification system can guarantee perfect delivery, but Dosly is engineered with multiple layers to make medication reminders more dependable.
🔄 Real-time synchronization across devices
Your medication history should always make sense, no matter which device you're using.
Dosly synchronizes medication schedules and dose statuses in real time, helping prevent duplicate records, inconsistent information, and unnecessary reminders.
❤️ Caregiver supervision
Medication management isn't always an individual responsibility.
Parents may need to support their children, adult children may want to help aging parents, and partners may simply want to look after each other.
Dosly includes caregiver supervision, allowing trusted people to stay connected to medication routines and provide support, even from a distance.

I'm building Dosly entirely on my own, from the interface to the backend infrastructure.
Behind its simple design is a distributed architecture powered by microservices running on a Kubernetes cluster, with dedicated systems for synchronization, notifications, and data management.
I believe a medication reminder deserves more engineering attention than an ordinary notification feature.
My goal is to make the technology sophisticated behind the scenes, while keeping the experience beautifully simple for the people using it.

Dosly wasn't created to chase a market opportunity.
It was created because someone I love needed something better.
Today, I hope it can make a difference for other people too: someone managing a daily treatment, a parent looking after a child, or a family supporting an aging loved one.
I'm an independent developer competing in a space filled with much larger companies, but I believe thoughtful design, genuine care, and solid engineering can make a difference.
