Hey everyone! DormGigs started from something very real, loneliness in university, especially for international students. When you move to a new country, you don’t just lose familiarity — you lose your circle, your comfort, and sometimes even your sense of belonging. And strangely, social media doesn’t help. It makes everything look perfect while you’re struggling quietly. I wanted to build a place where students don’t have to pretend. - No parents watching. - No pressure to look perfect. - No “highlight reel” version of life. Just real student life: the chaos, the struggles, the random thoughts, and the small ways people connect every day. "Dorm Gigs" also adds a layer of interaction through small services and favors — because often, the easiest way to connect is through doing something together, even something simple. The goal is simple: " Make university feel less lonely and be yourself! " It’s still early, still evolving, and very much shaped by the students using it.
