Hi PH! I'm Stephanie — the solo founder, developer, designer, and one-woman hype team behind Doodl. 👋 I built this because I missed feeling inspired creatively and making art for fun. Not for clients, not to post for engagement, not to compete — just the simple joy of drawing something small every day. One shared daily prompt. Everyone interprets it differently. You draw yours, then you get to see what hundreds of other people made with the exact same idea. Seeing how differently the human brain can interpret the same starting prompt is where the magic lies. It feels a bit like Wordle, but for drawing. The timing feels important too. AI-generated art is everywhere right now, and I wanted to build a space that was explicitly and stubbornly human. No AI submissions, no algorithms deciding what you see, no ads. Just people and pencils (or fingers). Doodl took about 11 months to build from scratch — solo, nights and weekends, a lot of coffee, from a desk in Montana. It has roughly 1,200 beta users who've been quietly making art together every day, and today we're finally opening the doors to the world. If you've ever said "I can't draw" — Doodl is for you. No talent required. Seriously. All you need is 5 minutes a day. There's real science behind why a small creative practice every day is good for you — it lowers cortisol, builds a sense of accomplishment that carries into the rest of your day, and exercises a part of your brain that most of us completely ignore after childhood. But honestly? You don't need the research to feel it. Five minutes of drawing something — anything — has a way of resetting whatever the day has thrown at you. It makes you slow down, notice things, and remember that you're capable of making stuff. That's worth a lot!
