About three years ago, I installed a compact home dishwasher in my campervan. With two people on board, we run it roughly every other day, our water lasts about a day longer, and dirty dishes go straight inside instead of piling up in the sink.

I wouldn’t go back.

That’s what inspired this project: a compact dishwasher designed to fit inside an existing camper drawer. You keep your original furniture and drawer front, slide it out, and load the dishwasher from the top.

The design focuses on what matters when travelling off-grid:

💧 A target of 4–5 litres of water per cycle.
☀️ Compatibility with hot water from the camper’s boiler to reduce electrical heating needs.
🚐 Making use of existing drawer space while keeping the countertop free.

The goal is simple: less washing up, more time enjoying wherever you’ve parked.
