What inspired me originally was seeing how hard it was for organizations to actually use the APIs they had already built. Most companies had invested heavily in APIs, gateways, and infrastructure, but when a partner or internal team wanted to integrate, the process was still slow and fragmented. People had to: • figure out which API to use • understand undocumented behaviors • request access through multiple teams • wait for sandbox environments • coordinate across product, platform, and security teams The APIs existed but the ecosystem around them didn’t. So the idea behind the original platform was simple: make APIs discoverable, usable, and productized, rather than just technically exposed. That led to building a system that helps teams package APIs as products, publish them through a portal, and allow developers to onboard safely through sandboxes.
