DeskSquat is an on-device desk coach for Mac and Windows. Every 45 minutes it gets you up and counts your squats through the webcam, with sets sized to your body and spread across your work hours. Breathing sessions cover the screen hours in between, and the posture coach only speaks up when you slouch away from the posture you showed it. The camera wakes for a session, then goes back off. Nothing leaves your computer: no cloud, no account, no subscription. One-time purchase, 30-day refund.

Hi PH!
I'm Eunggyu, building apps in Germany.
I sit at my desk more than 8 hours a day. Except for meals and bathroom breaks, I barely even think about standing up. After sitting that long my lower back hurts and my shoulders get stiff.
I tried setting alarms to make myself get up more often. It didn't really work.
I'm not someone who goes to the gym, so I looked for something simple I could do right at my desk. Squats seemed like the most efficient thing for where I am now. That's how this app started.
It builds a squat schedule around my work hours, every 45 minutes. When the reminder comes, I just stand up and squat. That's it. Easy enough to get to 100 a day.
Since then it turned into more of a desk coach. There are three now. The squat coach gets you up. The breathing coach handles the screen hours in between. And the posture coach just added, you show it your posture once and it only says something when you slouch away from it.
Everything runs on your machine. The camera only wakes for a session and goes back off.
There are definitely other people with the same problem. It's been a little over a month since launch and I have six paid users globally so far. Very early, so I'd really like to get feedback here too.
