Free VS Code extension to search packages on npm, PyPI, Go, crates.io, Maven, NuGet, RubyGems, Packagist, pub.dev and Hex, pick versions and get the right install command.

I was inspired to build DepCart after experiencing this problem myself. Every time I needed a package, I had to go to the browser, search the package on the right registry, check the version, copy the install command, switch back to VS Code, paste it, and repeat the process across different projects and languages. Switching between multiple tabs and figuring out which package manager or command to use became unnecessarily hectic. I wanted to eliminate that friction, so I built DepCart to bring package discovery, version selection, and installation directly into VS Code. As I worked on it, the idea evolved into a project-aware tool that could detect the package manager and generate the exact command for the developer.
