The idea is simple: your own handwriting as a font you can type with, for cards, worksheets, Cricut projects, a brand that feels personal, or a keepsake of someone's writing. Most handwriting-font tools make you print a template and fill in tiny boxes. When we tested our own scanner, the first thing we did was photograph a random notebook page, and of course it failed. Most people don't have a printer next to them, so we rebuilt the scanner: 1. Pick what to write (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, punctuation) 2. Write it in order on any paper: plain, lined or squared 3. Snap a photo. Dearfont finds each character, keeps dots and accents with their letter, ignores the notebook lines and traces everything into smooth vector outlines 4. Download a TTF and type with it in Word, Canva, Cricut, Procreate… Rather draw? Every letter can be drawn in the browser too (finger, mouse or Apple Pencil), with up to 3 versions per letter so double letters don't look copy-pasted. The free plan gives you 2 fonts with 76 characters and TTF download. Photos are processed right in your browser.
