honestly this looks really useful for anyone dealing with confidential stuff on calls. one thing though, would be cool if it could also blur or hide specific browser tabs not just apps, like when sharing your whole screen you know. anyway congrats on the launch
@nyerdelen18606 Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! Great news — Dam can already hide specific browser tabs, not just apps. It can also protect private files and folders in Finder, automatically hiding them when screen sharing starts and restoring them when it ends, just like in the screenshot above.

Really solid idea, especially for folks hopping on Zoom calls all day. One thing that would actually push me to install it though, you know, is letting people set up different hide lists per app, basically so I can keep Slack visible during work calls but hide it during screen recordings for clients.

One thing that would make this a must-have for me is letting users set custom keyboard shortcuts to manually toggle the hiding, since sometimes I want to hide apps even when I'm not actively screen sharing but doing a demo recording.
@ebruhbfq Great news — Dam already supports this! You can manually hide or restore protected apps anytime, even when you’re not screen sharing, and the keyboard shortcuts are fully customizable, just like shown in the screenshot. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙌
Tested it during a quick screen share and it kicked in before I even noticed anyone was watching, which is exactly the point. Really clean setup too.
