The problem: one copy of my book, priced at $1,000,000, and no buyer. The solution: 25 parody websites, from a streaming service with one title to a live auction stuck on "going once". For anyone who likes the internet weird. And one millionaire.

Hi Product Hunt π
I'm Abdel, a developer from Denmark. I spent a year writing a book called Dad, Look β I Wrote A Book! Then I printed exactly one copy and put it up for sale for $1,000,000. No reprints, no e-book, ever.
So I did what any reasonable developer would do: I kept building websites to sell it. I'm at 25 now. Some favourites:
auction.dad-look.com: a live auction with the real bids. The auctioneer has been stuck on "going once" for days.
stock.dad-look.com: $BOOK, a stock that has moved +0.00% every day since listing.
flix.dad-look.com: a streaming service with one title. It's #1 in your country today.
radio.dad-look.com: Dad FM, a radio station that plays one song, about the book. You can call in and request it.
magazine.dad-look.com: no fashion magazine put me on the cover, so I made my own.
They're all listed at all.dad-look.com, with live numbers from each site.
A bit of maker context: it's all plain PHP in one Docker container that serves every subdomain. Each site has its own share image drawn with PHP's GD library. Promoting it was its own adventure. I got banned from a few subreddits for posting about the book, so I stopped posting and started building instead.
The feedback that would help most:
Which site made you laugh, and which one fell flat?
What should site #26 be? I have a list, but yours is probably better.
If you were trying to sell one $1,000,000 book, what would you do?
And if you happen to have $1,000,000 lying around, you know where to find me. πΊπ«
