Building my first app taught me an interesting psychological principle...
To start something takes effort, but the days after take much less effort, despite needing the same amount of actual work. I built http://custombnb.app in one day, but found myself working on it everyday since. I've also started building more projects.
I had pushed back building an app for so long, despite knowing how easy it is to do. Now that I pulled the trigger, I can't stop building.
So, we already know that just starting can motivate us to continue for the rest of the day, but there seems to be longer-term benefits to starting too.
