CurrencyWheel is a free currency converter with a built-in Time Machine. Spin the interactive wheel to travel back in time and explore historical exchange rates up to 5 years ago — no registration, no ads, no friction. Supports 23 currency pairs with real-time ECB rates. Works on desktop and mobile.
Spun the wheel back a few years to check rates from a trip to Japan and it actually matched what my bank charged me, which never happens with these tools. The whole thing loads instantly and the time machine idea is genuinely clever.
@ethem_topr36430 Thanks, that means a lot! Rates come straight from ECB via the Frankfurter API: same reference banks use, so nice to hear it lines up in the real world. And glad the Time Machine idea landed :)
Spun the wheel back to early 2021 and it was cool to actually see how the euro hit its strongest stretch against the dollar, no signups or clutter in the way. Clean little tool.
