Hey Product Hunt 👋
I know you might expect a trading platform to be built by someone from finance — but not this one 🙂
I’m mainly a software developer who started trading a few years ago. Like many inexperienced traders, I made the classic mistake: trying to predict the market or find patterns that don’t really exist.
Things changed when I got into options trading. Not because I found a “holy grail”, but because options trading can, in certain setups, offer a statistical edge by design. That shift changed how I think about trading entirely.
From there, I started writing scripts and chaining signals together to strengthen this "edge" — until it eventually became a platform called Ctrl-Trade.
And yes — the “Ctrl” key is right next to the “Option” key on the keyboard. That felt like a sign 🙂
Ctrl-Trade is built to help traders work with structure, not emotion:
- a structured watchlist to organize and track setups
- an opportunity detection layer that highlights statistically valid entries (based on data, not gut feeling)
- a trading journal with clear portfolio tracking and (most importantly) diversification overview
It’s not a "get-rich-quick" tool. It’s built around a simple idea: trading works better when you follow a system, not impulses.
More broadly, Ctrl-Trade aims to make options trading more accessible and less intimidating, especially for traders who are just starting out. It’s still in beta, and I’m here on Product Hunt to get honest feedback — whether you trade or not.
Would it help you to enter the "trading world"? Or if you trade, would you give it a try?
Thanks for reading,
Francesco
