For the first decade that I wrote CSS, I found it frustrating. Nowadays, though, writing CSS is one of my favourite parts of front-end dev! CSS for JavaScript Developers is an interactive self-paced online course that will change your relationship with CSS 💖

Hi PH! This is my first real not-just-a-side-project launch, and I couldn't be more excited about it 😄 A quick story about how this course came to be: CSS did not come naturally to me. I started writing CSS in 2006, and for about a decade I stumbled my way through it. I was able to get things done, but I never really felt confident. A few years back, I decided to take it more seriously. I spent more time spelunking through the MDN docs and the CSSWG specifications. I realized that CSS has a bunch of hidden mechanisms, systems that govern how the individual properties are used. Everything started to click for me. CSS became FUN. I know so many front-end developers that feel comfortable with JS and React or Vue, but not with CSS. It's the achilles heel, the weakest link in the chain. And yet, there's no escaping CSS! No matter how many layers of abstraction we stack on top of it, they evaporate when the rubber meets the road, and the browser runs our code. Solid CSS skills are essential to building quality user interfaces. This course is my attempt to help JavaScript developers change their relationship with CSS. I hope you'll check it out, and I'd love to hear what you think!
