Keep lyrics beside your work on Mac, or let a nearby iPad follow the song while music stays on the original device. Cross Lyrics follows Apple Music and Spotify on Mac, iPhone and iPad, with synced sing-along highlighting and translations beside the original. Optional AI adds translation, pronunciation guides where supported, and line explanations on Mac. AI requires a service you configure and may charge separately. Available now on the App Store.

Hi Product Hunt, I’m the maker of Cross Lyrics.
When you’re working on your Mac with music playing, you probably don’t want to keep switching back to the player just to catch a lyric. Cross Lyrics can keep the current line at the top of your screen while you write, code, or browse.
Or put an iPad beside your desk and give the words their own screen. If music is playing on a nearby Mac, iPhone, or iPad, another device on the same local network can follow its lyrics and timing. The music keeps playing where it started.
Later, when you’re sitting down to listen properly, you can open the full lyrics view and follow the highlighting as the song plays. Songs with word-level timing can highlight word by word, making it easier to catch the words and sing along.
When a song in another language comes on, AI translation can sit beside the original lyrics. There are pronunciation guides where supported, too. On Mac, you can ask for an explanation of a line that caught your attention, or save it with a note.
Apple Music and Spotify already have lyrics. Cross Lyrics is for those moments when you want the words somewhere else—beside your work, on a nearby screen, or in a view you can settle into and read.
It works with Apple Music and Spotify on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Mac also supports local audio and imported LRC files. AI is optional, requires a service you configure, and may have separate costs.
The US App Store price is $12.99, and I’m giving away 30 free Mac App Store codes.
These codes unlock the Mac app and will be shared privately while they last. Feedback is welcome and completely optional; no vote or App Store review is required.
Which setup would you use most: lyrics beside your work, a nearby iPad lyric screen, or translation while listening?
