I built Copy Clean Link because I kept noticing how messy/clunky links had become. Sometimes I just wanted to send someone a cute corgi/cat video, an article, or a product page, but the link would be packed with UTM tags, fbclid, gclid, and a bunch of extra stuff that had nothing to do with the actual page. So the idea was simple: make it easy to share the link without all the baggage. The extension does one thing: click the icon, clean the current URL, copy it, and show a quick “OK” so you know it worked. I also wanted it to be privacy-first. It does not collect, store, sell, or share user data; it just cleans the link, copies the link to the clipboard, and gets out of the way.
