Hi Product Hunt community! I'm excited to launch ConvertIt today — your one-stop solution for all unit conversion needs. I built this platform to make conversions fast, accurate, and hassle-free across multiple categories including length, weight, volume, temperature, and more. I designed ConvertIt with a sleek, modern interface focusing on simplicity and reliability for students, professionals, and everyday users alike. No more juggling between different apps or websites for various unit conversions! I'd love to hear your feedback on the user experience and which conversion categories you find most useful. Are there any additional units or features you'd like to see added? Check it out at https://convertit.now/ and let me know what you think!

Hey Yu!

Congrats on your launch!

First of all, I like the idea of your app. It really is handy and it earned a spot in my bookmarks bar for sure!

Here are some corks I've experienced watching it from a 4k monitor driven by my PC:

1 - The grey used for the subtitle and secondary messages is too subtle for my monitor, I barely able to read it. Can benefit from some extra contrast.
2 - The visual comparison chart can go out of the border when the distance is great enough between two numbers measured (or in other words, the blue line can grow out of the white backdrop)
3 - The very first metric I typed in (Yard) wasn't in the system haha, but this is only a minor one and only used for testing.

One question for you: what is your monetisation strategy? Perhaps ads later on?
The issue I see is that even if a user might use it multiple times a week, I assume they only spend minutes on it with each action. Or you've got something figured out that I haven't thought about?

Anyway, the app is great and it must be was a true challenge to do it on your own, so definite cudos for your execution.

I also have a product launched today called ArcAngels. You can find it on my profile if you'd like to check it out.

Keep crushing!

@peterwolf Hi!

Thank you so much for your kind words and valuable feedback on the app. I'm thrilled to hear that you find it handy enough to bookmark!

I'll definitely look into increasing the contrast for the subtitles and secondary messages to improve readability on 4k monitors. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us make the app more user-friendly.

The issue with the visual comparison chart is noted. I'll work on making sure it scales properly regardless of the distance between numbers.

Haha, I'll add "Yard" to the metrics system. It’s always good to have that for testing!

As for monetization, You're right about the average time a user might spend per session, so ads might not be the best option. We're considering premium features that offer added value to regular users.

Congratulations on the launch of ArcAngels! I'll definitely check it out. It’s always exciting to see new products in the market.

Thanks again for your support and feedback. If you have any more suggestions, feel free to share.

Keep up the great work with ArcAngels!

Hey @imyuchang!

No worries at all! Actually there is something that popped into my mind about your app.

It's not straight conversion, but it is in the same ballpark in my opinion. The one use case that I need a lot is calculating market sizes. I usually use calculator and my whiteboard for that, but it'd 100% more convenient if I could do that in an app.

Values I need to calculate with are:
How many people are likely to use our product: e.g.: 1.2m
How much of them are willing to pay for it: e.g.: 40%
How many of the remainder we can capture in a short amount of time: e.g.: 10% in year 1, 15% in year 2 and 20% in year 4.
How much cash potential is there for investors: 1.2m x 0.4 x 0.15 x LTV (annual) = 7,2000 * LTV

Something like this to do with dynamically adjustable fields would be marvellous :)

@imyuchang Oops, I misplaced my coma at the end result since it is 72,000 but you've got the point.

I could always do a spreadsheet for this, of course, but I never find the mood for it when I'm in "creation" mode you know :)
