Start with a tiny garage lab and grow it into a sprawling AI compute campus. Place racks, power and cooling on a physical grid, install GPUs, take on inference, training and research contracts, and hire technicians to build, upgrade and repair your facility. Expand through 15 departments, research better hardware and automate operations. A mobile idle strategy game for iPhone and Android.
Hi Product Hunt — I’m Kevin, the indie developer behind Compute Tycoon.
I wanted to make an idle/tycoon game where building a data center felt like running an actual system rather than simply watching one number increase.
You start with a tiny garage lab and gradually build it into an AI compute campus. You place racks, power and cooling, install better GPUs, accept compute contracts, hire technicians, research upgrades and expand through 15 departments.
A big part of the game is deciding where your limited compute should go. An inference contract might pay quickly, while a larger training or research workload ties up capacity for longer. As the facility grows, power, cooling, maintenance and your crew become part of the problem too.
I built Compute Tycoon as an independent project, and it’s now available free on iPhone and Android.
I’d especially love feedback on the progression, balancing and what you’d want to see once the data center gets really big.
