Hi everyone 👋 This is my first launch on Product Hunt, so thanks for stopping by! I’m a software engineer, and Commitments started as a small hobby project I built for myself. At work, I often needed a quick place to write down small things like “talk to this person”, “write an email”, “look into that issue”. Basically, I just needed a simple replacement for a text note. Most task managers I tried felt too bloated for this kind of micro-task tracking. I wanted something super lightweight, fully native, and easy on system resources but couldn’t find the right fit. So I decided to build it. Commitments lives in your Mac menu bar, works completely offline, and feels at home on macOS. There’s a free trial, and if you find it useful, it’s a one-time $5 purchase.
