Collabio is an all-in-one office suite tool for iOS, that empowers you to get the most from fully-featured office-format editing, document sharing, local collaborative editing, scanning and text recognition with a phone's camera and PDF annotations.
Hello, 👋
Collabio Spaces for iOS is here! This is our first launch through Product Hunt and we hope that the community will enjoy and appreciate our app. We've spent more than a year improving the product to make it the perfect match for the Productivity section.
We are pleased to introduce a complete set of tools for collaborative managing of documents in MS (Office Open XML) and ODF (OpenDocument) formats, which offers more than just editing texts and spreadsheets.
We present a fully-fledged productivity space with scanned text recognition, PDF annotations and the ability to add audio comments to text documents. Collabio is compatible with most used document formats. Import your files and start editing them with these unique tools right away.
❗️ The software's main highlight is the P2P sharing feature called 'ad-hoc'. Ad-hoc allows users to collaborate efficiently on the go, anytime, anywhere. This unique technology gives users the ability to locally share and simultaneously edit documents of different sizes with their team. Imagine co-editing documents without using major cloud office suites, instead, running it completely locally on your smartphone. No Cloud. No external servers. Not even Internet connection! Only you and your teammates with smartphones in hands. What’s more, the ad-hoc collaboration technology takes us to the next level of privacy.
As you can see, this feature can be extremely useful during business travels or when there is a poor connection to the web or if you want to privately share files with your colleagues within one office space. We bring safe and convenient collaboration closer to end users.
We've also added guides for every feature and provide templates for business and personal use.
Any user can find benefits of using Collabio for themselves, especially taking into account the current situation in the world where social distancing is essential:
🔹 Office employees can benefit from safe instant collaboration and having everything in one place.
🔹 Students and teachers can use a phone instead of several textbooks and work on group tasks digitally within one classroom while keeping the safe distance.
🔹 Thanks to the intuitive interface and a handful of useful features, anyone can instantly start using the app to open, create and manage documents on their mobile device.
We have many plans for future improvements. Our goal is to create a powerful and wholesome office tool for quality teamwork, which provides privacy and is easy to use by individuals.
We're glad to offer free trials too. You can download Collabio from the AppStore and try all its features for free!
We are looking forward to receiving your feedback! Let's do it together! ;)
@apiatak Thx, we are just trying to make magic happen! 🙌 In fact, the ad-hoc technology doesn't require connection to the server or cloud, your iPhone or iPad acts as a server🤓.
People connect to your device via Wi-Fi and all the changes are recorded there, so you don't need to send documents anywhere🔥!

Sounds great but how can I collaborate - should I turn on my hotspot?
@alexander_tatarchuk Thanks for your question! Wi-Fi or hotspot is enough to collaborate.
If you're interested in how to share access to any document, find out the details in our "Collaboration Guide". It is built into the app - after you sign up for a free trial or a subscription, you'll find it in the Home folder.
We also have an article on Medium describing the peculiarities of the ad-hoc technology - https://medium.com/@collabio/how.... In case you have any other questions, feel free to ask us here or on Medium!😎
