CodexA was built out of frustration with slow, cloud-locked code search tools and the lack of local-first AI code intelligence. I wanted a tool that could answer “where is this used?” or “what breaks if I change this?” instantly, across any codebase, with full privacy. CodexA is open-source and designed for extensibility—whether you want to add new language support, plug in your own LLM, or build custom developer workflows.
