Transform raw code into a readable, beautiful workspace. CodePrettify automatically formats, validates, and highlights JSON, JavaScript, CSS, and RSS/Atom feeds directly in your browser tabs. Key Features: * Power Tools: JWT decoder, Base64 converter, and cURL/Fetch generator. * Navigation: Tree view, breadcrumbs, and document search for massive files. * Privacy: 100% client-side processing—your data never leaves your machine. * UX: Zero-flash loading, 14+ languages, and 20+ themes.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I actually built CodePrettify for myself quite a while ago. I was tired of using 'beautifiers' that were buggy, slow, or—worst of all—security risks. Most tools I found relied on external code references or third-party scripts that I simply didn't trust with my data.
For a long time, I just ran this locally. But as I kept tweaking it and adding features (like JWT decoding and cURL exports), a few friends wanted in. I finally decided to publish it to the Chrome and Edge stores just to make syncing across my own machines and sharing it with friends easier.
The philosophy is simple:
* Trust No One: 100% client-side. No external dependencies or tracking.
* Zero Friction: It just works the moment you hit a raw file.
* Built for Devs: Includes the 'extra' stuff we actually need, like Base64 decoding and RSS support.
Since I’m constantly updating this for my own workflow, I figured it was time to share it with the wider community. I’d love to know what you think!
