hi product hunt, i'm claire, and i made clothesline 🤍

clothesline started in a group chat. my friends were sharing outfit photos for an event we were all going to, while a few of my other friends (who weren't in that chat) were also texting me separately to ask what i was wearing.

i wondered, “is it weird to share the group's outfits with them?” since we were all going to the same event. what if there was one place that includes everyone in the conversation?

enter, clothesline.

each plan gets its own Line, a private space with the date, location, dress code, and moodboard. you invite your friends with one link; everyone hangs up the looks they're considering, then likes and comments on the outfits in the chat. almost like your best friend is in your closet with you while you're getting ready.

torn between two looks? add them both to a poll. going on a girls' trip? share one link that covers the whole trip, with a Line for each day. with clothesline, you know what everyone's wearing before you call the uber.

i'd love your honest feedback so i can improve the app for all users. a few things that would help me most:

1. onboarding: how clear was creating your first Line and sending the invite? where did you get stuck?
2. invite flow: did your friends join and share a look? if not, where did they drop off?
3. drop-off: what would make you leave the app and just text instead? what almost kept you from downloading?
4. retention: what’s missing that would bring you back for your next plan or get you to share it?
