Cliporator lets you turn long-form audio or video into social-ready clips. It automatically transcribes your content, identifies key moments, and exports vertical videos for socials. For audio-only content, Cliporator can use your own library of video backgrounds, images, and backing tracks to generate unique clips so your feed does not feel stale or repetitive. It also includes a focused review workflow for editing captions, refining batches, and rerendering clips without starting over.
The inspiration for Cliporator was a direct need that I had for creating social clips for a podcast my wife and I are starting.
I started making social clips by had by identifying key moments in the podcast, clipping that specific content into an audio file. Then editing it into a video. At first it just looked branded but not dynamic. I found a few video backgrounds that I liked and a few audio tracks to play behind the podcast content. Then I realized that transcription was a factor in engagement so I started looking into how to do that.
Eventually I knew there had to be a solution available but every tool I found was for clipping video podcasts. I'm a developer by trade so I decided to make something that I could use and that grew into something that I knew would help others in my situation.
Now that I have Cliporator, I can generate and review unique batches of clips for social media with transcription and branding automatically and quickly. Each clip is unique and polished. Words that I had to fix in other transcription tools are automatically fixed now with our workflow. If I don't like a clips video background or music, I can rerender it. If I don't like the suggested clips I render more.
The process for creating social clips for my podcast is a breeze now. I see it being useful for lectures, speeches, sermons, etc. I didn't want to leave video clipping out so Cliporator can create the same type of content from videos too!
