I'm Pavan, the maintainer of CleanTake. A backup mic is useful when it captured the speech your main mic lost. CleanTake lines up simultaneous recordings so you can compare the same passage and choose what to replace. Each accepted repair keeps its source decision, including in an editable Reaper export. Someone on Reddit suggested showing the exact mic and time range next to Accept. Version 0.2.2 adds that: the saved source, original filename, project range and corresponding recording range sit beside the button. Unsaved changes are marked separately. The desktop app is free and open source. Mac, Windows and Ubuntu downloads include the processing tools and an offline sample. Your recordings stay on your computer; no account is required to use the app. The demo was recorded in 0.2.1 using AMI recordings with a deliberately introduced half-second gap.
