Claudeometer is a free, open-source macOS menu-bar app. It shows your Claude usage like a battery — live 5-hour quota, burn rate, and alerts before you hit a limit. For teams it pools usage: see everyone's live limits and borrow a teammate's Claude when you're out, end-to-end encrypted and self-hosted.
The borrowing-a-teammate's-quota idea is genuinely clever, and the menu bar battery metaphor makes it feel native instead of like another dashboard. Wish the alert threshold was a bit more granular than just one warning though.
the burn rate indicator is genuinely useful, caught myself pacing my prompts once i saw how fast i was burning through the window. nice to see the team pooling feature too, didn't know i wanted that until now.
