A child-friendly take on classic Dou Shou Qi / Jungle Chess. It keeps the animal ranks, rivers, traps, and dens, but uses cute animal pieces and a warmer style for solo computer play or local two-player matches.

Hi Product Hunt, I’m William.
I made 鬥獸棋 Classic because I played Dou Shou Qi / Jungle Chess as a child and wanted to bring back that feeling in a friendlier way.
Many versions online feel like serious chess apps, so I tried to make a cuter version that children and families could enjoy while still keeping the classic rules: animal ranks, rivers, traps, dens, solo computer play, and local two-player mode.
I’m curious how people think about remaking traditional games: should the visual style stay classic and serious, or can a softer version help new players enjoy it?
