Hi everyone! I’m Britt, one half of the team behind CircuitSim.
Years ago, My friend Sam and I worked on Multisim Live at NI. Even after leaving the company, we remained huge fans of the tool, having personally witnessed millions of people and educators use it to teach, build, and learn. When NI announced last year that they were shutting it down, we were incredibly disappointed.
However, we quickly realized this was a perfect opportunity to step in and build something deeply useful for educators, professionals, and hobbyists like ourselves. We’ve spent the last 12 months building CircuitSim from scratch into the tool that we always envisioned Multisim Live being. And we're so excited to announce it’s ready just in time for the EOL of Multisim Live.
Having spoken with hundreds of professors over the years, their requests were always the same. CircuitSim is built specifically around those core needs: a zero-install browser experience, real SPICE simulation, friction-free access for students, and a modern UI/UX that doesn't force students back into the 1990's.
Here is what we're launching with today:

⚬ A catalog of over 5,000 components, plus a custom component builder.
⚬ An importer that seamlessly opens your old Multisim Live circuit files.
⚬ Group licenses that let students jump into a private seat without needing to create a login.
⚬ A free tier, so you can literally open it up and start wiring a circuit right now.
It’s just the two of us building this on nights and weekends. We’ve already had a great response from the educator community and are completely committed to making this the best tool out there for teaching electronic circuits.
