Ciao! helps you stay close to the people you care about, even when life gets busy. Add a friend, choose a catch-up rhythm, and get a gentle reminder when it’s time to reach out. Animal avatars fade over time, showing who you may want to contact. Save birthdays and personal notes, so every message feels thoughtful and you never lose track of what matters.
Living abroad can feel like having two lives: the one you live now, and the one back home that keeps moving without you.
I wanted to stay close to people I love, but busy lives made it hard. Over time, I started to feel like a bad friend.
So I made a small app for myself called Ciao!. You add friends and choose how often you want to stay in touch. Once a week, it quietly shows you who you have not spoken to in a while. You can also save birthdays and small life updates, like a new job or breakup, so you are up to date for the next conversation.
It is free for your first few friends and has no ads. I built it myself and would genuinely love feedback. Has anyone else struggled with this “two lives” feeling and felt like a bad friend?
