Open-source CLI, MCP server and Chrome extension that lets Claude Code, Codex or any agent drive the Chrome you're already signed in to. Native messaging, no debug port, nothing injected into pages. Several agents share one Chrome in separate tab groups.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Leo, the maker of chrome-use.
I built it because every browser agent I tried either started a fresh browser that was signed in to nothing, or asked me to open a remote-debugging port on my main profile.
chrome-use connects Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, MCP clients or your own scripts to the Chrome you already use, through a Chrome Web Store extension and native messaging. What that gets you:
Your real sessions: no re-login, no debug port, no "Allow remote debugging?" prompt.
Quiet on the page: nothing is injected into the pages it drives, and the extension asks for no <all_urls> permission. In our own runs CreepJS scored it 0% bot (self-measured, not a guarantee for every site).
Cross-origin iframes (payment, SSO, embedded widgets) come back as structured, clickable elements, not screenshots.
Repeatable work: extract --schema to JSON, batch and script, site adapters for GitHub, Reddit and many more, YAML tests and network mocks.
Several agents in one Chrome, each in its own tab group.
No terminal needed: chat with your local Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode or Pi in Chrome's side panel, or from your phone.
It's free and open source (Apache-2.0) on macOS, Linux and Windows. Page data only goes to the model you chose.
Its sibling, iphone-use, does the same for a real iPhone. I'd love your feedback, especially on sites where it gets stuck.
