Chords.me is a free collection of online music tools for guitarists, singers, ukulele players, pianists, and working musicians. It includes a chord transposer, capo calculator, online guitar tuner, tap tempo BPM finder, chord progression generator, piano chord finder, guitar chord diagrams, ukulele chord diagrams, and chord-sheet PDF maker. Everything runs in the browser with no sign-up required. It is designed for quick practice, songwriting, rehearsals, and preparing clean chord sheets.
How accurate is the guitar tuner when there's a lot of background noise, like during a jam with other instruments?
@aminesalmau0vq Good question — just to clarify, the current guitar tuner on Chords.me is an ear/reference-tone tuner, not a chromatic microphone tuner yet.
It plays reference tones so you can tune by ear, which means background noise does not affect the tool itself the same way it would affect a mic-based tuner. In a noisy jam, the main challenge is hearing the reference tone clearly, so headphones or a quieter moment would help.
A chromatic tuner with microphone input is something I may add later, but the current version is focused on simple reference-tone tuning.
The capo calculator is way more useful than I expected, and the fact that everything runs in the browser with no signup is a huge plus for quick practice sessions.
