Hi Makers,
I recently added a feature to Chessie that generates custom puzzles from your own games.
One piece of advice I kept hearing from strong players and coaches is:
Analyze your own games to understand why you lost or missed opportunities.
Build pattern recognition by solving lots of tactical puzzles.
These are often treated as separate activities. I wondered if they could be combined.
Now you can import all of your Chess.com games with one click, and Chessie analyzes them to find your blunders, mistakes, and missed tactics. It then turns those positions into puzzles, so you're solving positions that you personally got wrong.
My hope is that this makes training more relevant than solving random puzzles. Instead of practicing patterns you might never encounter, you're practicing the ones that have already cost you points.
I'd love feedback from players of all ratings. Do you think training on your own mistakes is more valuable than using a general puzzle database? What else would make this workflow more useful?
the offline-first approach is genuinely thoughtful, especially for tournaments or travel where you can't always rely on a connection. love that nothing leaves your device.
Honestly love that it runs completely offline, feels like such a thoughtful choice for something this personal. The offline Stockfish integration is honestly really well done.
