Hi Product Hunt, I’m Luann, and I built Cenno.
Tech has moved incredibly fast in the last few years. AI can write, talk and even see. And yet we’re still using computers the same way we did decades ago: keyboard, mouse, trackpad. I thought it’d be cool to use what’s possible now to change that, and talk to our machines in a more natural way.
Younger people also don’t use computers the way older generations did, so there’s real room to rethink how we interact with them. That’s what Cenno is about: making your computer feel as natural to use as moving your hands.
It started small. Swipe your hand in front of the webcam, switch desktops. Then I got carried away. Now you can point to move the cursor, pinch to click or drag, scroll with two fingers, twist an OK sign for volume, and throw a hang loose to start dictation. Honestly, it feels like I am doing magic... that's why I call these gestures spells.
Yes, people at the café give me funny looks when I’m waving at my laptop... But what do they know? They’re just muggles!
Where it really shines is when you’re near your computer but not sitting at it, like cooking with a recipe open.
Everything runs locally. No data leaves your Mac, no ads.
It’s free on macOS and Windows (though on Windows you might expect some inconsistencies).
I’d love to hear which gestures feel natural, which ones go off by accident, and what you’d want to control with your hands that Cenno can’t do yet.
