Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Cavdeck because I wanted a more familiar desktop workflow for managing S3-compatible object storage on Windows.
Cavdeck brings Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, and custom S3-compatible endpoints into one Windows desktop client. Instead of switching between different web consoles, you can browse buckets, work across connections, manage transfers, and preview supported files in one place.
A few things you can do with Cavdeck:
Manage multiple storage connections and tabs.
Upload files and folders with drag and drop.
Download objects and folders, and monitor concurrent transfers.
Copy or move files within and across connections and buckets.
Preview text, images, and PDFs; edit supported text files.
Use Favorites, Recent, search, light/dark themes, and multiple languages.
Cavdeck is free and open source under GPL-3.0-or-later. It connects directly to your storage provider, so there is no Cavdeck account or subscription.
It is currently a Windows x64 application, with Windows 11 as the primary testing target. The current GitHub installers are unsigned, so Windows may show an Unknown Publisher or SmartScreen warning. Please download only from the official Releases page and verify the published SHA-256 checksums.
I would love to hear how you manage S3-compatible storage today, which providers you use, and what would make Cavdeck more useful in your workflow.
