CartLayer is a native macOS soundboard built for live shows. Trigger jingles, ads and sound effects instantly, use a microphone with a single click, and stream your live show directly to your Icecast server. Ideal for internet and FM radio stations, live events, and anyone who needs reliable instant audio playback.

How does it handle triggering sounds during a live show if the network drops out for a second, and is the mic input routed through the app or straight to the streaming server?
@kasmova72003 Sound triggering is completely local. All playback and cart triggering happen inside the app, so a brief network outage won’t affect your live show or playback timing. If the connection drops, only the outgoing stream is interrupted while the show continues running locally.
The microphone is also routed through the app, where it can use processing such as compression and automatic ducking before being mixed with the rest of the audio and encoded for the streaming server. It isn’t connected directly to the streaming server.
Finally a soundboard that feels like it was built for broadcasters, not gamers. The one click mic toggle is genuinely handy when your hands are already full during a live mix.
@durmusoban4003 Thanks, I really appreciate that. CartLayer was designed specifically for broadcast workflows, so feedback like this means a lot. I’m glad the one-click mic toggle is proving useful during live shows.
The microphone toggle in one click is exactly the kind of detail that shows you understand live radio workflow. Nice execution on a genuinely purpose-built tool.
