CareerGauge is a career decision workspace for job seekers who want more than a resume score or job tracker. Upload your resume, analyze a role, and get an evidence-backed Decision Brief showing fit, gaps, risks, missing information, and next actions. Save opportunities as cases, generate tailored materials, compare roles, and track decisions from pursue/hold/pass to outcome.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Walid, the founder of CareerGauge.
I built CareerGauge because job seekers are often told to apply more, tailor more, and optimize more — but rarely get help answering the more important question:
Is this opportunity actually worth my time?
CareerGauge is designed as a career decision workspace. You can upload your resume, analyze a job description, and get an evidence-backed Decision Brief showing:
- where you are a strong fit
- where the gaps are
- what information is missing
- whether the role looks like a pursue, hold, or pass
- what next actions make sense before applying
The goal is not to replace human judgment. It is to make career decisions more explainable, less reactive, and less dependent on guesswork.
I’m especially interested in feedback on three things:
1. Is the “Decision Brief” concept clear?
2. Would this help you decide whether to apply, skip, or prepare differently?
3. What would make this trustworthy enough to use during a real job search?
CareerGauge is still evolving, and I’m building it toward a fuller opportunity workspace with tracking, notes, documents, comparisons, and outcome learning.
Thanks for checking it out. I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback.

The "pursue/hold/pass to outcome" loop is a smart way to force real decision-making instead of just collecting tabs. Love that the brief calls out missing information explicitly, it stops you from pretending you have data you don't.

The decision brief layout is genuinely helpful, especially the way it lays out gaps and risks side by side instead of burying them in a score. Nice to see a tool that treats career choices like actual cases rather than just a checklist.
