Care home software is fragmented — care plans, rotas, meds and billing in separate apps. CareOS runs the whole home in one system: residents, care planning, MAR, staffing, training, incidents, invoicing and a family portal, all on one record. What's different: tamper-proof records (insert-only medication & controlled-drug registers, undeletable safeguarding, an audit log no one can clear), encrypted resident data, CQC-readiness reports, and self-hosted — you own your data.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Zeshan, maker of CareOS.
I built this after seeing how care homes actually run day-to-day: care plans in binders, the rota in Excel, medication charts on paper, incidents in a logbook, invoices in another tool — and families phoning the front desk for updates. Staff spend hours duplicating records instead of caring for residents.
CareOS puts the entire home in one system. One record per resident, one login per staff member, everything connected:
🏥 Admissions, care plans & risk assessments (Morse, Waterlow, MUST)
💊 Medication with MAR charts and a witnessed controlled-drugs register
📅 Rotas, absences, training matrix with expiry traffic-lights
🚨 Incidents, safeguarding & a CQC-readiness report (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led)
💷 Resident accounts & invoicing
👨👩👧 A family portal — relatives see updates and photos for their resident only
A few things I was stubborn about:
Records you can trust: medication and safeguarding entries can never be edited or deleted — corrections are new entries, and the audit log can't be cleared by anyone.
Privacy by default: all resident and staff personal data is encrypted at rest.
You own your data: self-hosted on your own server, not locked in someone else's cloud.
I'd genuinely love feedback — especially from anyone who's worked in or around care homes: what's the most painful part of care-home admin that software still gets wrong?

Tried it on a demo home and was surprised how the family portal actually pulls live from the same care record, not a copy someone forgot to update. The tamper-proof MAR register alone is worth switching for.

@atakanozan65601 Thank you! That was one of our core goals—keeping everyone on the same live care record instead of maintaining separate copies. We're glad the tamper-proof MAR register stood out as well. Really appreciate you taking the time to try it and share your feedback!

Finally tried the family portal and it actually feels like the care home is keeping me in the loop, not just ticking a box. The tamper-proof MAR register is the detail that sold me, it's the kind of audit trail inspectors love.

@sabriboruc9hqs Thank you! That's exactly what we were aiming for keeping families genuinely informed while making compliance easier for care teams.

The tamper-proof MAR register is a really smart idea, and being self-hosted is a huge plus for data-sensitive homes. Surprised how much they fit into one system without it feeling clunky.
