Hi, I'm the maker. I built CampHawk after one too many "sold out" screens for the campgrounds my family wanted.
It watches the campground and dates you pick, checks as often as every 15 seconds, and texts you when someone cancels, with a link straight to the official booking page. It covers every Recreation.gov campground plus state parks in 34 states, ReserveCalifornia included, and parks in Canada.
Honest notes: if every trip you take is on Recreation.gov, try its own free alerts first; they're good. Where we help most is state parks (Recreation.gov's alerts can't see them) and flexible dates ("any two nights in July"). Searching is free with no account; watching is $2.50 a month with a 7-day free trial.
