Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Adriano, solo founder of Byoi. I build my own SaaS products using AI coding agents, and I kept running into the same problem: every tool I used to manage the work — boards, docs, specs — locked that context inside its own database. If I switched tools, or the product shut down, my project history went with it.
So I built Byoi around one non-negotiable idea: your data lives as versioned Markdown files in your own Git repo. Every card, every decision, every doc — plain text, committed, readable with or without Byoi. Bring your own repo, bring your own AI keys (BYOK), bring your own config. The tool is a layer on top of data you already own.
The approach evolved a lot along the way. I started thinking about this as "just a Trello alternative," but the more I used it to build my own products, the clearer it became that the real value wasn't the board — it was that AI agents could read and write my project context directly, because it's just files in a repo they already have access to. That reframed the whole product: Byoi isn't competing with project management tools, it's solving the "my AI agent doesn't know my project" problem.
I'm building this in public and using it daily to build itself — this launch page, the docs, the roadmap all live as Markdown in the Byoi repo, managed with Byoi. Would love your feedback, especially from anyone else building with AI agents and fighting the same context-loss problem.
