I started out running a web design agency for UK SMEs, which later pulled me into AI-adoption consulting. Across both, I kept seeing the same gap: sales teams had plenty of leads but no sense of timing — they were reaching out cold, guessing when a company was actually ready to buy. That frustration became the first version of this product, originally called CorporateLeads. Early on, keyword research showed thin search demand for generic "lead gen" terms, so I rebranded to BuyingWindow and repositioned around the real value: not more leads, but the right moment to reach out. I also migrated the whole stack to Next.js to fix crawlability issues that were holding back growth. The process evolved a lot — from a single signal (company filings) to monitoring hiring, product launches, leadership changes, and M&A activity together, because founders don't just need a name, they need the reasoning behind why now.
