Two phones, one list. You're shopping. Your partner remembers oat milk and adds it from the car β it appears on your phone in real time. Free PWA, no install, no account to start. Auto-categorizes, voice input, recipes & meal planner; $0.99/mo only removes ads.

Hey Product Hunt π
I'm Isac, the maker of BuyBye.
I built this because every shopping list app I tried wanted me to do three things before I could add "milk" to a list: create an account, install something from a store, and decide between a free tier with ads on the list itself or a $4/month subscription to unlock basic sharing. For a shopping list. With my partner.
So BuyBye does the opposite of all that:
Open the link, start typing. No account, no install β the list lives on your device.
Want to share or sync across phones? Sign up in 5 seconds (still free). Then send your partner a link, both phones stay in real-time sync β iPhone, Android, laptop, whatever's in your hand.
Auto-categorized. Type "yogurt", it lands under Dairy. Type "leche" or "leite" β same thing. 7 languages, including voice input.
Offline-first. It's a PWA. Edits queue and merge when you're back online.
No feature gates. Sharing, recipes-to-list, meal planner, voice input β all free. The optional $0.99/mo only removes the ad banner. Nothing else is locked.
Everything you see was built solo with React + Vite + Supabase. The whole thing is a single PWA at getbuybye.com β no store install, no waiting for review.
Things I'd love feedback on:
The "no account" onboarding β does it feel like trust or like the data will vanish?
Auto-categorization quality in your language β wrong category? tell me the item and I'll fix it.
Anything you'd expect to find that's missing.
I'm here all day, replying to every comment. Thanks for taking a look π

@psychduckΒ Hello Isac, i just tried buybye, and i really love the concept a lot. I have a lot of feedback to give you on this, been looking for your mail, i can't find it. Feel free to shoot me an email at olayanjuidris@gmail.com. Let's connect
i feel this product can turn into a low $3k+ product
-- On the Ui side of things i don't think the shared linking of groceries is properly visualized so someone know frrom the get go
-- I really like the addtion of things with a free account but once i finished adding, what happens next , this is where i feel the let me signuop should come from
--For the UX of the links, iu think it could be better
Happy to dicuss more on this

@olayanju_idrisΒ Hey Olayanju, Really appreciate the detailed feedback π
Just sent you an email picking up on all three points (sharing visibility, the post-list signup moment, and link UX). Looking forward to digging in there.
