Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Batch started after a family vacation. I came back with around 200 photos to send to the grandparents, and all I wanted was to auto-enhance the whole album. Google Photos made me do it one photo at a time: enhance, save, enhance, save, for half an hour, like a robot. Turns out people have been asking Google for this since at least 2019. There's a Help Community thread with 347 "I have the same question" votes that Google locked without a resolution. So I built it. Batch is a Chrome extension that automates Google Photos' own editor across your whole selection. Select photos, click Batch, pick an action: auto-enhance, any of 19 filters, crop, rotate, searchable descriptions, or a custom preset (tune one photo the way you like, then apply that exact look across the batch). And because it uses Google's own Revert to Original, one click undoes everything, so you can't ruin an album. Once "select everything, act once" existed for editing, two more uses showed up on their own: ⬇️ Download your entire library in full quality, in one run. I wanted my photos backed up on a second service, not living only in Google, and this is far less painful than Takeout. 🗑️ Reclaim storage. Convert live/motion photos to stills in bulk (in early testing many shrink by 70 to 80 percent), and once your library is backed up elsewhere, you can move all of it to Trash in one run. Never permanent: everything stays recoverable for 60 days, and Batch never empties the Trash. Photos never leave Google Photos. There's no backend, no upload, no second library to manage. It's a layer of automation on top of the app you already use. Would love to hear what your post-vacation photo routine looks like, and happy to answer anything!

Would love to see a "smart album" feature where you can save bulk edit presets as filters on date ranges or album names. For example, one click to crop and enhance everything from a specific trip, or apply your vintage preset to all photos older than 2015. Right now presets exist but you still have to manually select the photos each time.

@hayrunnisa69ve Love this idea! The "manually select the photos each time" part is exactly what we're trying to kill. Here's a date-range picker I'm prototyping: pick a range (or "last summer," "everything before 2015"), we load those photos for you, and you run any existing Batch action on them, presets included. So your "enhance a whole trip in one click" becomes: pick the trip's dates, hit your preset. Would that solve it for you?

The selection model here feels really well thought out, especially being able to preview thumbnails while ticking off thousands at once without lag. Finally someone built the bulk delete that actually respects how Google's interface should have worked from the start.

@ipekgilmuc85517 Thank you! The no-lag part took real work, so it's nice to have it noticed. Out of curiosity, what would your first big batch be: a cleanup (delete), or an edit across an album? Always trying to learn which door people come in through.
