Give your team access to S3 files, not AWS

Your files are already in Amazon S3. Your team shouldn't need AWS access to use them. BucketDesk turns your S3 buckets into a secure browser workspace. Browse, preview, search, share and ask AI questions about files without the AWS Console. Files stay in your AWS account, with access controlled through a scoped IAM role. Plus, S3 Savings helps uncover wasted storage costs from old versions, unfinished uploads and rarely accessed files. Start free with one bucket and one viewer.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm JeVaughn, founder of BucketDesk.
BucketDesk started with a personal problem.
I had downloaded years of family photos using Google Takeout and wanted somewhere affordable to keep them without getting locked into another provider. Amazon S3 looked like the obvious choice.
But once my photos were there, actually using them was frustrating. The AWS Console showed file names instead of a proper photo library. Previewing, finding and sharing files wasn't straightforward.
Then I realized businesses have the same problem, just at a much bigger scale.
Companies already store documents, media and archives in S3, but the people who need those files often can't access them without involving IT.
So I built BucketDesk.
It gives teams a browser workspace over the S3 buckets their company already owns. They can browse, preview, search and share files while keeping storage and access control in their AWS account.
Along the way, another problem kept coming up: S3 costs.
That's why we built S3 Savings, a tool that identifies unnecessary storage costs and helps teams take action.
We're launching with a free Starter plan, and I'd love feedback from anyone using S3 for business files.
One question I'd especially love your thoughts on: what's your biggest frustration with managing files in S3 today?
